We are hiring an Office Assistant!

Hi there! Have been wanting to work for a creative small business and get real-life experience on what it takes to keep your own business running? Perfect! We are hiring a part-time office assistant. If you are a kind, funny, creative and hard-working individuals we would love to talk to you about joining our team.

 

The office assistant is a part-time position at our office in downtown Dayton. You must be available Monday-Thursday, hours to be determined. If you enjoy writing, telling stories, or working on a variety of creative projects let’s chat!! Some of the things you will learn and work on are:

-       Social media management

-       Newsletter copy-writing and management

-       Inbox management

-       New client on-boarding - document, file and binder creation.

-       Event signage, cards, favors, tags, etc,

-       Event prep- creation, assembly, sourcing or supplies and items needed for an event

-       Vendor sourcing, pricing and project estimates.

A few requirements…

-       18 years of age or older

-       Own mode of transportation

-       Comfortable working with, Word, Excel, and Publisher

-       Knowledgeable about Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest

-       Experience with Squarespace and MailChimp is a plus.

We are hiring for an Event Assistant!

Come join the growing SJE family, working on creative events. We want to see what you’ve got. If you are creative, kind and a team player we would love to hear from you. Samantha Joy Events is a boutique event design and planning firm that works on weddings, corporate and social events. This role is an invaluable experience to get hands-on experience in the event industry.  The position is paid and part-time based on our event schedule. An Event Assistant will assist in the office preparing for events and assist the Lead or Associate planner at events.

I want to hear from you if…

-       You are well organized and detail oriented

-       Don’t mind working nights and weekends. Most events are Friday and Saturday with preparations Wednesday to Friday.

-       Enjoy working hard or getting dirty, some physical labor required

-       Calm and professional in the face of adversity

-       Willingness to learn to skills

-       Enjoy working with your hands and getting creative.

-       Previous event experience is a plus

A few requirements for the position.

-       Willingness to travel our events are mostly in the Midwest and occasionally further

-       Comfortable working with, Word, Excel, and Publisher

-       Knowledgeable about Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest
