I first met Ally through her sister Carly who I was already working with. Ally was getting married first and had most of the planning herself. She is a school teacher in Columbus and had enjoyed the planning but as the date got closer Carly knew she needed a little bit of help. Ally and Tim were getting married at her parent’s home Terrapin Village, which is also a bed and breakfast. Over the years they have hosted many weddings, concerts, and family gatherings. From the street, it looks like a ranch style home with a long driveway. But down that long driveway is a bubbling brook that sweeps under a red covered bridge at the base of a small hill and runs passed the Mill House. You enter into this quaint oasis, their little pieces of heaven. Once you go through the stream there is an old Blacksmith Shop and the Music Hall appropriately named for where their dad plays in a band and they host events. But what you don’t see in this open field is the family tree, where Ally and Tim were going to get married. That’s what it became known as to me. As you make your way up the hill the path opens to the level area with low grass and right in front of you is the stunning, large, wonderfully shaped tree. I instantly knew why it meant so much to Ally and Carly. We have a special spot just like this at my grandparents' lake house and I would have loved to get married there.

Ally and Tim wanted their wedding to be relaxed and casual. Only immediate family attend the hilltop ceremony. After the ceremony, there was some time to freshen up before cocktails in the Blacksmith shop. Guest dined and danced under the stars all night long thanks to the clear span tent. Carly not only served as one of Ally’s maid of honors but also baked and decorated their wedding cake. Take a look at this casual boho wedding at Terrapin Village.
